PROJECT SUMMARY

This project involved the construction of two facilities set on an 80-acre campus. The first building is a 72,000 square foot processing facility comprised of offices, conference areas, a printing and scanning area, processing area, scoring area, break room, gym and locker rooms, warehouse space, four loading docks and a drive-in shipping/receiving door. The framing is structural steel with a split-face masonry veneer, membrane roofing, aluminum windows. EIFS facades with standing-seam metal roofs and faux columns add an attractive design element. The warehouse portion has insulated metal panel siding.

The second building is the Corporate Headquarters for Measured Progress and is similar in design to the Phase 1 Processing Building, but with a higher level of finishes. The top three floors house offices, conference and board rooms with the lowest level reserved for mechanical and electrical rooms, break room, gym and locker rooms, as well as two shipping and receiving docks. The fourth floor features a metal clear-story roof, which runs down the center of the building with full-length windows for well-lighted work space. There are four exterior patios off conference rooms located at the four corners of the fourth floor.

The site posed the biggest challenge with ledge and ground water. Development of the site included construction of the main drive/road to the buildings as well as bringin in power, gas, water and sewer to service five potential building sites. Coordination with the city was required for the construction of a new intersection at the main road and tie-ins for the water main.
